EcoPlant was founded in 2006 by a small group of biologists who studied the modern issues of rational use and conservation of taiga forests. We understand that northern forests are able to effectively store carbon dioxide through the formation of wood. For this reason, we began to plant perennial trees and try to rationally use the wood so that it does not rot quickly.
EcoPlant is the first social network that connects people and nature by creating a balance between CO2 emissions and forest conservation. Starting in 2020, we have been planting trees annually in northern latitudes to compensate for CO2, which is formed in the process of generating electricity necessary to store information and maintain the operation of our servers.

The Internet portal ecoplant.org is an econetwork where any member of the network can create their own page and tell about themselves, publish their thoughts and works, and store photos. In our econet, all publications receive a CO2 consumption meter. The amount depends on the amount of information stored, the age of the publication and the number of views. Our goal is to compensate for CO2 emissions by planting trees in northern latitudes.
We offer to compensate for carbon dioxide in several ways, and the first steps can be taken now:

  • Step 1. Register on ecoplant.org.
  • Step 2. Publish BITs to our econet.
  • Step 3. We will calculate the annual electricity consumption of your BIT, determine the CO2 emissions that were generated in the process of generating electricity to save your publication.
  • Step 4-1. Allow us to place a banner ad on your post. We will take a percentage of advertising revenue for the annual CO2 offset. You decide the number of years.
  • Step 4-2. Don't want to see ads on BIT? Buy the "My Forest" service. We will plant trees in the forest area, put your name on both the wooden banner in the forest and on the map in our eco-network. The growing forest will annually offset the CO2 generated from storing your publications on our servers.
  • Step 5. You will receive a wooden board from us with the GPS coordinates of the forest that was planted with your funds in order to offset the CO2 of your publications.
