EcoPlant is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering collaboration between biologists, ecologists, nature enthusiasts, and farmers engaged in agricultural production.

We are convinced that contemporary agriculture has the potential to nourish the increasing population of our planet while preserving the environment. The advancement of humanity is intricately tied to the progress of agriculture, as the first tools, settlements, and states were established through the hard work of farmers. Nevertheless, agricultural practices can result in soil fertility depletion, deforestation, the extinction of animal and plant species, water pollution, and ultimately, the downfall of our civilization.

We follow the principle of «Do it right, keep nature bright» This slogan signifies that biologists inform farmers about the presence of rare and significant plant or animal species in the vicinity of their fields. With this knowledge, farmers can make informed decisions regarding the timing of pesticide and fertilizer applications, ensuring that they do not harm the delicate ecosystems surrounding their fields.

We aim to support scientists in developing a photo bank that includes geolocation tagging and the names of biological species. Additionally, we provide farmers with the tools to make informed decisions about pesticide and fertilizer applications based on satellite monitoring (NDVI, SAVI, EVI, and soil data) or to delay field treatments temporarily until the species are less susceptible to such interventions.
